Duck Breasts with Honey for Christmas
Ingredients:
– 2 duck breasts
– 2 tablespoons of honey
– 2 tablespoons of soy sauce
– 2 cloves of garlic, chopped
– 1 teaspoon of fresh thyme
– Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions:
1. Preheat your oven to 200°C (392°F).
2. Cut the skin of the duck breasts into crisscross shapes, taking care not to cut the meat.
3. In a bowl, mix the honey, soy sauce, chopped garlic and fresh thyme.
4. Generously brush the duck breasts with this sweet-salty mixture.
5. Season the duck breasts with salt and pepper to taste.
6. Place the duck breasts in an ovenproof pan, skin side down.
7. Cook in the preheated oven for 8-10 minutes for rare cooking or longer for more medium cooking, basting the breasts from time to time with the cooking juices.
8. Remove the duck breasts from the oven and let them rest for a few minutes before slicing them.
