On May 28, a three-year-old boy visiting the Zoo climbed under a fence into an outdoor gorilla ladder where he was grabbed and dragged by Gorilla Harambe. The gorilla didn’t seem to attack or assault the baby however the Zoo workers couldn’t leave it on hands of fate.
Fearing for the baby’s life a zoo worker shot and killed gorilla.
This caused many people to have controversial opinions on this situation. Some people commented on the case saying that the situation could have been easier to handle and wouldn’t require anyone to kill the gorilla. Others believed that this was the best way to prevent any harm toward the baby.
